I designed a logo for a client whose business is organizing and decluttering people’s houses. The client asked for warm blues or greens, and a simple modern design. I referenced architectural blueprint drawings and used the four squares to represent rooms (the gap representing the door). I rotated each square 45 degrees and alternated the colours to represent a methodical process of decluttering the house room by room. Each room is also a box to contain the clutter and simultaneously the panes of a window, thus representing a house. I used a classic, elegant serif contrasted with a sans serif similar to those used in Swiss Style design to represent the simplicity of that aesthetic. The colours in the wordmark mirroring those in the graphic to provide balance.
